This is the story of Jim and Jaki Parlier's experience of taking the gospel to the Managalasi people in Papua New Guinea. They devoted 19 years of their life to the Managalasi and God blessed their work with a New Testament and many people believing in Jesus.
I enjoyed Jaki's honesty about her difficulty adjusting to life in a Papua New Guinea village. Not only did she cry when the plane first left her there in the jungle, but she also discovered her real name, Judy, was a bad word in the Managalasi language.
It was a great encouragement to be reminded about God's faithfulness to His children, His absolute power over the evil spirits the Managalasi people feared, and His love, grace and mercy for all who believe in Him. A great book that I will gladly pass on to anyone who is interested.
